Our Spotlight Continues on New York City Weekend Activities

May 20, 2017

NEW YORK - Paint-splattered shoes are considered a sartorial no no at most dining establishments and night clubs.

So it should come with a sense of relief that the first and only official paintball "ReBall" center in the TriState area -- and the only paintball facility in NYC -- is now open at Indoor Extreme Sports.

And even better, the New York Social Network wants to take you ...

Berlin Airlift Legacy in Farmingdale

For nearly 30 years, the Farmingdale, N.J.-based Berlin Airlift Foundation has devoted itself to preserving the legacy of the 1948-49 humanitarian effort.

Nowhere is the work more prominent than with its Spirit of Freedom, a fully restored Douglas C-54 which contains inside its fuselage a museum filled with artifacts and information about the airlift.

That plane is still a regular at ...

Historic Flight Set for New York City to Farmingdale New Jersey

Nearly seventy years later and 4,000 miles away, one of history's greatest humanitarian efforts is about to remembered in New Jersey.

For almost precisely 15 years, the world's last remaining Boeing C-97 aircraft -- a Cold War workhorse linked to the famed Berlin Airlift in 1948-49 -- has sat idle, undergoing repairs and retrofits, overhauls and maintenance in a hangar at Floyd ...

More fun in New York City this Weekend....Yeah!

And they're off!

Well, almost anyway. The 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby is actually on Saturday evening and there can't be too many better ways – apart from being at Churchill Downs -- to enjoy the most exciting two minutes in sports than with fellow race fans from the New York Social Network (NYSN).

You can get an early start on your Saturday night with a viewing ...

Rockabilly Legend Rudy "Tutti" Grayzell and All His Travels (including with Elvis)

The irony hasn't been lost on him that of all the places Rudy "Tutti" Grayzell has played in the world he remains perhaps most popular in one of the few he hasn't.

The Facebook messages stream in and the royalty checks arrive every month but it's not for lack of wanting that Grayzell has never taken his rockabilly sound to the Far East.

He's still hoping, ...

Celebrating a Blue Monday in France

For some, Blue Monday is saddest day of the year.  But for music fans it's one of the happiest.

The annual rockabilly festival, which started on Thursday in Attignat-Oncin, France, is one of the highlights of Europe's music scene.

This is the 15th year of the four-day Good Rockin' Tonight show, a tradition for this small town 60 miles east of Lyon and proof how Europe ...

Last Chance to WOW Your Family at the New York Auto Show

Now through 7PM tonight is your last chance to wow your family at the New York Auto Show hosted at the Jacob Javier's Center.

For your husband, they have shiny things.  We like shiny things too.  Specially machines that can possibly injure or kill us.

For your children, this is their playground.  They can climb through fire trucks, play on Jeeps, do Virtual ...

Invite to Design Your Own APP Contest

Technology is just as important as money when it comes to a business idea. You can get a loan to start a new business and hire developers if you do not know how to create an app for your idea. But not everyone qualifies for a loan, and not everyone is connected to someone who is skilled in app building. But what if you had the opportunity to give your idea to someone who could make your app ...

No Saturday Plans! Check out a Nat Geo Photographer in His Natural Setting

So it is Saturday morning, your exhausted and you still want to take your family to something fun this weekend.

Well, we think a visit to the Paul Nicklen Art Gallery in Soho is a must do.

Why you ask?  Well for starters he is the National Geographic photographer responsible for almost every Polar Bear and Penguin photo you can recall...or perhaps is on your screen saver ...
