Heat Advisory in Effect for North Eastern New Jersey Through Thursday August 16

NEW YORK, NY - The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for much of North Jersey starting today at noon and continuing through 6 p.m. Thursday Aug. 16. 

The heat index is expected to reach the mid to upper 90s during this time period.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Union County for Friday Evening

UNION COUNTY, NJ - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Union County area until 10 p.m. Friday evening. Along with that storm and Flash Flood warning has also been issued until 6 p.m.

National Weather Service Issues Flash Flood Watch for Union County Area Through Tuesday Evening

ELIZABETH, NJ - The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Watch to be in effect for Union County Area from noon until late Tuesday evening.

According to the NWS, a slow-moving frontal system will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms that have the potential to bring torrential downpours with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.

Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Warnings in Effect for Elizabeth Tuesday Afternoon

ELIZABETH, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Union County until 2:30 p.m. and a flash flood warning until 5 p.m.
