Why is eating local so important? Sustainable Jersey reports that, “Building and supporting a strong local economy is one of the key principles of creating a sustainable community.”

Arati Kreibich, leader of the Glen Rock Green Team, said, “Not only will restaurant week help our local eateries and bring our community together, it will also help us cut down on air pollution since many of the restaurants in Glen Rock are walkable, or at the very least, a short drive away.”
