Collegiate Riding: Fabiano Earns SEC Rider Of the Month Honors

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — South Carolina equestrian's Lauren Fabiano was named the November SEC Rider of the Month for Equitation Over Fences, the league office announced today.

Fabiano, of Malvern, PA posted a 2-0 record and earned her third M.O.P honor of the season in the month.

Fabiano is the second Gamecock to be named an SEC Rider of the Month after Paisley Roberts was named SEC Rider of the Month for Reining in September.

"I couldn't be happier for Lauren," assistant coach Kristen Terebesi said. "She has continuously pushed herself this semester and is so deserving. I can't wait for us to get back to work in taking on the spring."

Fabiano opened the month with a 78-75 win over Georgia's Meghan Flanagan before posting a 91-86 win against Auburn's Hayley lannotti to move to 5-0 on the year.

The Gamecocks break for winter but are back in action on Jan. 27 at One Wood Farm.
