FAIR LAWN, NJ - A 36-year-old Fair Lawn female dropped-off her car for repair with prescription slips in it and picked it up without those slips, police said, determining about a month later the slips were stolen.
Police arrested a former employee of the auto repair shop, a 27-year-old man of Kearny, who had taken the slips and subsequently turned himself in. The man was released after being charged with theft of movable property.
On Sept. 11, the woman dropped-off her car for repairs at TriBoro Auto Body on Saddle River Road, and when she picked it up on Oct. 3, the prescription slips there when she dropped-off her car were missing.
The woman reported the theft of the slips on Nov. 5.
