FAIR LAWN - An 87-year-old female has been hospitalized since Monday, Nov. 13 when she was allegedly struck by an 86-year-old Fair Lawn driver, according to police.
The pedestrian was struck at 5:23 p.m. when she was crossing Fair Lawn Avenue at Radburn Road in the crosswalk.
The driver, Louis Grosso, 86, of Fair Lawn, was driving a 2003 Toyota at the time of the incident and told police he did not see the woman in the roadway.
Police charged Grasso with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
According to police, the woman continues to be hospitalized at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson with head and leg injuries.
