PARAMUS, NJ - March is entering like a lion with high winds and gusts of up to 50 mph beginning 4 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
The wind advisory is now in effect from 4 p.m. this afternoon to 10 a.m. Tues., March 2. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up 50 mph are expected.
Portions of northeast New Jersey, including all of Bergen County, southern Connecticut and southeast New York.
According to the National Weather Service, gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Due to snow melt and recent rainfall, some tree root systems may be somewhat compromised, potentially leading to some uprooted trees.
