Fair Lawn Local Promoted as Lieutenant in Essex County Sheriff's Department

NEWARK, NJ - At a December 22 ceremony at Newark’s Leroy Smith Public Safety Building, Fair Lawn resident Cecil Barker (3rd from right) was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office. 

Lt. Barker is a 15-year veteran of the force and is a supervisory officer for the department’s Bureau of Criminal Identification. 

Joining Barker on this occasion are his daughter, Lindsey, his wife, Ann; his son, Brandon; his daughter, Anyah; Sheriff Armando Fontoura; and, his mother, Yvonne.
