FAIR LAWN, NJ — The Planning Board has scheduled discussions this evening about planning guidelines and other information put out through the borough's Economic Development Corporation.
The Planning Board is meeting virtually this evening, March 8 at 7 p.m. for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting to discuss the Economic Development Corporations (EDC) plans to assist business in the borough, including a budget to market businesses through window design.
Also, the board will discuss the Planning Design Guidelines, another EDC-sponsored report, and how it will affect the Radburn/Fair Lawn Avenue Redevelopment area.
The redevelopment area is currently the subject of a preliminary plan that includes residential and commercial development in the square lot on the corner of Plaza Road and Fair Lawn Avenue, which was declared an area in need of redevelopment by the Fair Lawn Council.
Wells Fargo has announced they will be leaving the property in May, according to Bergen County's Office of Planning and Engineering.
And, Bernrap's Plaza Jewelers, a longtime Fair Lawn staple, is another of the latest businesses announcing an exit from the current dilapidated building that's anchored by the Dollar Store and the Railyard Tavern.
