June 13, 2017

11:16 pm - Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Yerger Road and arrested the operator, Alaziz Pitts, age 26 of Clifton, after finding edible marijuana candy inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, maintenance of vehicle lamps & failure to possess a driver’s license.

June 14

8:54 pm - Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at TunbridgeRoad and arrested the operator, Michael Rivera-Subiszak, age 19 of Garfield, after marijuana was found in his pant’s pocket. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper vehicle safety glass, failure to possess a driver’s license & operating unlicensed.

10:00 pm - Forgery: P.O. Juan Rodriguez initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 south at Fair Lawn Avenue and arrested the operator, Jonathan Rossi, age 19 of Fair Lawn, after finding marijuana, prescription medication and a fraudulent driver’s license. He was released after being charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with public records & maintenance of vehicle lamps.

June 15

12:00 am - Narcotics: P.O. John Rovetto approached a suspicious person walking on Broadway at Midland Avenue and arrested Luis Vasquez, age 20 of Passaic, after it was determined that he gave the officer a false name when asked. Evidence of drug use was found, along with arrest warrants out of Clifton ($2500) & Garfield ($1000). Vasquez was also reported as a missing person out of Passaic, so Passaic Police was notified that he had been located. He was charged with possession of hypodermic needles & providing false information to a law enforcement officer, then handed over to Clifton Police.

June 18

9:27 pm - Narcotics: P.O. Tiller Uriarte & P.O. Anthony Ferreira approached an occupied parked vehicle on 30th Street and arrested the operator, Joseph McKay, age 25 of Clifton, after evidence of drug use was located inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

June 19

2:03 am - Receiving Stolen Property: P.O. Tiller Uriarte approached two suspicious males walking on Broadway at 17th Street and arrested John Shiraldi, age 26 of Bergenfield, after he admitted that batteries and condoms that he had in a bag had been shoplifted from Walgreens in Bergenfield. He was released after being charged with receiving stolen property.
