FAIR LAWN, NJ - We are all in this pandemic together and as we approach one year of this public health situation, the Borough would like to acknowledge and thank our Hometown Heroes! COVID-19 has caused a global pandemic leading to an unprecedented and overwhelming public health crisis.
The Borough would like to honor our essential workers who have been the Hometown Heroes during this pandemic. Essential workers have provided necessary services which are essential to the public's health, safety, and welfare during this State of Emergency, and includes healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, pharmacy workers, postal workers, childcare workers, food service workers, transportation workers, warehouse workers, and all other frontline workers. These essential workers have proven they are willing to put their own health at risk to continue to meet the responsibilities to maintain safety and public health while overcoming the staggering challenges posed by COVID-19.
If you are a resident and are an essential worker, email us a photograph of you on the front lines in the continuous fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Email the photograph to email@example.com. The photograph shall be of high resolution and in JPEG format. Please include your name, address and your occupation in the email. Photographs must be submitted on or before March 31, 2021 to be part of a mosaic photograph of all the submissions.
This mosaic photograph will commemorate and honor all the essential workers who live and/or work in Fair Lawn who have worked throughout this COVID-19 pandemic and to bring awareness to these Hometown Heroes and to demonstrate support for those individuals that every day risk their safety for the health and well-being of our Borough.
Please email any questions on this program to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
