GLEN ROCK, NJ – Henry Pfeiffer (17), a Glen Rock High School Senior and Eagle Scout candidate, plans to build a Pavilion for the Glen Rock Dog Park as his Eagle Scout service project. He is fundraising to help pay for the materials, engineering fees, accessibility supplies, and other related costs. Glen Rock Boy Scout Troop 15 as well as many other local volunteers are supplying the remainder of the labor and expertise involved with the project.
The Gazebo will be used as an area for much-needed shade at the park and will also be used for animal training sessions and educational seminars.
"The dog park is a much-needed facility in town, as our furry friends are not allowed on school grounds and other parks. I have grown up with dogs all my life, and thus looked for a project that would allow me to give back to both dogs and pet owners around town”, says Henry Pfeiffer.
The Dog Park is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on the creation and enhancement of an eco-friendly, multi generational canine recreation park dedicated to the 9/11 Search and Rescue dogs. The non-profit depends solely on donations and volunteers to operate, enhance and maintain the dog park. All donations to this project are tax-deductible.
