GLEN ROCK - Glen Rock Borough Council candidates Michelle Torpey and Eileen Maher Hillock are hosting a free Family Fun Day 1-2 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at the Children’s Park between the Glen Rock Pool and Arboretum, 390 Doremus Avenue.

“We planned a simple family event primarily to spread one of our key messages to Glen Rockers ~ it’s all about kindness," Torpey said. "Glen Rock is an amazing  town with many friendly welcoming neighbors. Everyone is invited to stop by to say hi and participate in this fun family event."

There is no RSVP required.

"We are painting kindness rocks with messages of inclusion to share with friends and neighbors," she said. "Afterwards, we encourage families and visitors take a walk through our gorgeous Arboretum while playing Arboretum BINGO.”

“Earlier this year, along with a few friends, we created Kindness Rocks t-shirts," Hillock said. "Sometimes, in this crazy world, we all just need a little reminder of how lucky we are to have found such a wonderfully community. The demand for the kindness t-shirts was incredible; we had two full orders. Happy to open it up for a third if needed.”
