GLEN ROCK, NJ - The Borough Council recognized the 100-year anniversary of Women's Suffrage at last night's council meeting.

The five-woman, one-man council, along with Mayor Kristine Morieko, honored women's right, and all people's right to vote with a resolution read aloud.

Carole Schwartz, President of the Glen Rock League of Women Voters, said Glen Rock's League, which was founded in 1954, has registered hundreds of people to vote since its inception.

The League of Women Voters of the United States, according to its website, "encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy."
