GLEN ROCK - Earlier this evening, on May 8 at the Council work session, the Glen Rock Borough Council unanimously agreed to fly the Rainbow Flag for the duration of Gay Pride Month in June. The flag will be flown over Wilde Memorial Park and details for a flag raising ceremony will be announced in the near future.

Glen Rock Mayor Bruce Packer posted the following on his Facebook page:

Very proud of our Borough and very proud of our council. By unanimous vote, the Rainbow Flag, a symbol of LGBT pride, will fly over Wilde Memorial Park for Gay Pride Month in June.
Our council showed that we are unified in our desire to recognize, embrace, and advocate for all of our residents. We are further willing to share in the pride of those that some ignorantly perceive to be simply "different."

All Glen Rockers should be proud of who they are, know that your Borough shares that pride, and be proud to be Glen Rockers.

Bruce J Packer, Mayor, Borough of Glen Rock
