Proceeds Support American Cancer Society and Chapter’s 2019 Relay for Life
FAIR LAWN, N.J. – The Glen Rock-Fair Lawn chapter of Relay for Life, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will hold a bowling night fundraiser on Tuesday, October 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowlero, 22-22 Maple Avenue in Fair Lawn. The event is being sponsored by the Glen Rock High School team, one of many throughout the two towns that will be raising money through next summer to help fund cancer research, support programs for patients and caregivers, and much more.
The cost is $25 per person and includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soft drinks. Payment in advance is required, either by cash or check, no later than October 20 to Amanda Sproviero at Glen Rock High School, using the form available on the chapter’s Facebook page, https://www.facbook.com/RFLglenrockfairlawnnewjersey. Anyone interested in participating must reserve a spot by October 20 via to email@example.com.
The Glen Rock-Fair Lawn Relay will also be at the Fair Lawn Street Fair on River Road on Sunday, October 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Representatives will be selling purple decorated pumpkins to raise funds and distribute information and answer questions about the event.
The Glen-Rock-Fair Lawn Relay for Life will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., June 1-2, 2019 at the Glen Rock High School football field on Plaza Road. Individuals, families and local companies are encouraged to form teams to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. During Relay, team members take turns walking around a track continuously to signify that cancer never sleeps; teams also set up themed campsites and participants enjoy entertainment, a tricky tray, games and activities. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers from the community; an informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at Glen Rock High School, Room B150 at 7:30 p.m. for those who would like to learn how to get involved.
