GLEN ROCK, NJ - A 26-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stealing approximately $18,000 from the store cash register, according to police.

Erin G. Marciniak, 26, a cashier at the store, was arrested for suspicion of theft of cash at Kilroy's Wonder Market on March 14, Chief Dean Ackermann said.

During an investigation that began on March 9, Marciniak was identified by the store’s video surveillance system as the employee who was suspected of taking $17,974 over the course of a prolonged period through fraudulent transactions at her register, police said. The detectives investigation was able to confirm "just over $12,000 taken since January of 2017," according to the police report.

Marciniak was charged with 3rd degree theft and released on her own recognizance pending an appearance before Superior Court Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack on March 30.
