During the period between September 3rd, 2018 to September 9th, 2018 members of the GRPD handled 287 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
Sept. 4 - 5:26 PM – During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North, P.O. Sarah Orsita determined that both occupants of the vehicle were wanted on outstanding warrants.
The driver, a 46-year-old Port Jervis, NY man, had an active NCIC warrant issued by the Superior Court in Ocean County for failure to answer to criminal charges. He was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
The passenger, a 55-year-old New York City man, had an active warrant issued by the Palisades Interstate Parkway Municipal Court. He was released after posting $111 bail.
Sept. 6 - 3:02 PM – A Somerset Court resident reported the theft of a bicycle from his garage. The bicycle had been taken at an unknown time over a five-day period while the garage door was in the open position.
