GLEN ROCK, NJ - Teresa Gilbreath and Rob Dill have become council members-elect, according to vote tallies listed on the Bergen County Clerk's "unoffical" Nov. 5 election results page, including vote-by-mail and provisional ballot totals.
Voting was close, with Michelle Torpey and Eric Schlett in the lead on election night with 1552 and 1584 votes respectively, as opposed to Gilbreath and Dill, with 1521 and 1523 votes.
Glen Rock Election Still Up in the Air
But after mail-in votes were counted, Gilbreath and Dill took a slight lead.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, county officials added in the provisional votes. As of yesterday, Nov. 15, these were the unofficial vote totals with mail-ins and provisionals:
575 Mail-ins and 119 provisionals were cast.
Mayor-elect: Kristine Morieko (D) - 2052 total: 340 mail, 56 provisional
Mayoral challenger: Sanjiv Ohri (R) - 1861 total: 221 mail, 55 provisional
Council member-elect: Teresa Gilbreath (D) - 1897: 326 mail, 50 provisional
Council member-elect: Rob Dill (D) - 1883: 313 mail, 47 provisional
Council challenger: Eric Schlett (R) - 1858: 214 mail, 60 provisional
Council challenger: Michelle Torpey (R) - 1824: 216 mail, 56 provisional
Council challenger: Joe Koenig (I) - 315: 42 mail, 6 provisional
4033 votes were cast out of 9272 registered voters, or 43.5%.
