GLEN ROCK, NJ - A Glen Rock resident confronted a burglar in his home late one evening last week, enabling him to recover items the thief was trying to steal, police said.

On Aug. 18 after 11 p.m., a Fairview Avenue resident confronted the burglar who was attempting to make-off with a laptop computer and a navigation unit. Upon being caught, the man left the stolen items behind and ran from the house, police said.

Police scanned the immediate area, but found nothing. Shortly thereafter, police came into contact with a 31-year-old Palisades Park man who was subsequently arrested for possession of burglary tools and a hypodermic syringe. The man was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and subsequently transported to the Bergen County Jail pending an appearance before Central Judicial Processing at the Superior Court in Hackensack.
