GLEN ROCK, NJ - A "Splashing" Good Time was had by doggies and humans alike at the first ever Pool Paw-ty for dogs at the Glen Rock Kiddie Pool.

The event, held on Sept. 16, was co-hosted by Glen Rock Parks and Recreation Director Katie Frey and the Glen Rock Dog Park non-profit President Eileen Maher Hillock. Volunteers Karen Boyle, Anne Lemieux and Robyn O'Hagan we're also instrumental in the tremendous success of the event.

"I think we've started a new Glen Rock tradition," Hillock said.

The pool party for pups lasted from 6 to 8 p.m. with the small dog swim kicking off the event. There was a waiting list for both time slots, small and large dogs, and unfortunately, there were dozens of puppies unable to participate because the event was exceedingly popular.

From families to spectators, and dare we say doggies, there were miles of smiles all around the pool. Given the success of the first event, organizers are already discussing next year's Pool Paw-ty.

Rest assured there was no shortage of wet doggy smell when all arrived home, so surely there were plenty of puppy baths that night!
