MORRISTOWN, NJ- No. 4 seed Morristown advanced to the State Sectional Semifinals on Thursday with a 7-0 victory over 5 seed Fair Lawn. The win continues Morristown’s magical season as they look to add more silverware to an already fantastic season.

Caden Tierney got the win for the Colonials with a complete game shutout only allowing 5 hits and striking out 9 batters giving Fair Lawn trouble all game long.

Tate Ballestero, Brennan O’Neill and Joe Pucek all had 2-hit afternoons for the Colonials. O’Neill had 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s while Ballestero had a double, single and an RBI as well. Pat Montfort also drove in 2 runs for the Colonials as they poured it on.

Morristown will look to keep their season going on Tuesday afternoon in the semifinals against No. 9 seed Randolph, who upset the top seed in the section, Livingston with a 10-1 win.
