GLEN ROCK, NJ - There's one week until Glen Rock celebrates its 125th Anniversary on September 14, and the weather is looking like it may cooperate with the temperatures in the low 70s and cloudy.
Here is a rundown of the day:
9 a.m. - Kids’ fun run on Doremus Avenue.
10 a.m. - Re-dedication ceremony of the beloved Rock with local dignitaries
10:30-12:30 - Open house at the Glen Rock Historical Preservation Society at the Main Line train station--including photos, artifacts and activities related to Glen Rock’s history.
1 - 7 p.m. - Festival at Wilde Memorial Park including the following music and activities:
- The Sub-Bourbonites
- Route 80’s Band
- New York State of Mind
- Children’s magic show and dance party
- Food and craft vendors
- Pie eating contest
- Children’s bike decorating and parade
- Plus a town-wide scavenger hunt; hours vary by merchant
- Tables for Local Organizations and Town Vendors
All-day sidewalk sale by participating merchants.
