FAIR LAWN - Women of Action (NJ) and members of the community are invited to a "Rally of Unity and Peace" 7:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 in front of the Municipal Building.
Posted on Facebook, the group wrote they want to "come together to speak out against hatred, intolerance and bigotry."
"Hate has no Home in Fair Lawn. As we’ve seen the horrific violence and terrorist attacks in Charlottesville, Barcelona and around the world, we will come together to unify our community and stop the spread of hate around the country," the group stated in its invite.

They will be hanging anti-racism awareness ribbons on the columns of the Municipal Building and distributing lapel ribbons to all attendees.
Municipal Building Parking Lots are behind the building, designated areas will be marked.
Guest speakers and musical guests to be announced.
Candles and posters/signs with positive messages are welcome. No signs on sticks are permitted.
Family Friendly Event. Children are encouraged to attend.
