Standing Up for Decency, Justice, Compassion: A-Team

Although I have always considered myself a politically engaged individual, this is the first time I've ever written a letter of endorsement in support of any candidates.

These are highly charged political times and sometimes it may seem that "tuning out" is the best form of self-preservation.  But as I've come to realize, just the opposite may be true.

These are the times when standing up for decency, justice and compassion is what will help us persevere and make this a world in which we want our children to live and thrive.

It's for these reasons that I write in support of THE A TEAM: Amy Martin and Dr. Arati Kreibich.

I'm voting for them because they will bring facts, science and an awareness and sensitivity with regard to diversity to the table. They will continue to support Glen Rock's commitment to education and start a new dialogue on behalf of those whose children have already graduated. They will work to preserve what's already great about Glen Rock while not being afraid of the word "change". They will work "across the table" to include all points of view without obstruction and divisiveness.

It's time to embrace the candidates who will work tirelessly on our behalf, it's time to vote Democratic.
