During the period between July 9 and July 15, 2018 members of the GRPD handled 255 calls for service, the highlights of which included:

July 9 -10:35 AM – During the course of a motor vehicle stop, P.O. Tarantino arrested a 34-year-old male out of Newark, NJ on an outstanding Passaic County warrant for unpaid child support. The male was transported to the Passaic County Jail and turned over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department.

July 12 - 2:04 PM - A Gaynor Place resident reported that she was a victim of identity theft/fraud. She stated that she received a call from someone claiming to be with the IRS. She was instructed to make two wire transfers totaling $19,750 otherwise a warrant would be issued for her arrest. After completing the two transfers, the resident became suspicious and called police. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

July 14 - 11:25 PM - The Midland Park Police Department detained a 38-year-old Mahwah man who was wanted by the Glen Rock Municipal Court on an active criminal warrant. The man was subsequently taken into custody by Sgt. Carter who transported him to Glen Rock Police Headquarters. Once at headquarters, the party was able to post partial bail and was released with a new court date.
