During the period between October 12 to October 18, 2020 members of the GRPD handled 339 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
10-12-2020 - 2:26 PM – A Hillview Terrace resident reported that sometime during the previous night, his unlocked vehicle had been rummaged through by an unknown actor and an unknown amount of loose change and a pair of sunglasses had been stolen. The incident was forwarded to the Detective Bureau.  

10-13-2020 - 5:02 PM – A Glen Rock man reported that an unknown suspect used their personal information to fraudulently obtain New Jersey unemployment benefits in his name. The matter has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.  

10-14-2020 - 1:21 PM – A Glen Rock woman reported that she was victimized in an email phishing scam where she sent the card numbers for $600 in gift cards to a suspect who was purporting to be a friend of the victim. The matter has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.

10-14-2020 - 2:27 PM – A Glen Rock woman reported that two checks that she had sent out in the mail totaling approximately $1,700 were intercepted in transit and fraudulently cashed by an unknown actor. The matter has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.    

10-16-2020 - 11:15 AM – A Glen Rock woman reported that an unknown suspect used their personal information to fraudulently obtain New Jersey unemployment benefits in her name.  The matter has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.  

10-18-2020 - 6:27 PM – A Glen Rock woman reported that she fell victim to a scam where she was convinced to send $800 in gift cards to a suspect purporting to be from Apple Customer Service to have her computer fixed. After she realized that this was a scam, she found that one of her bank accounts was also fraudulently accessed. The matter has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
