10-19-2020 - 9:14 AM – A Spottswood Road resident reported that the rear windshield of their vehicle was broken
sometime overnight. The resident did not see or hear anything out of the ordinary.

10-19-2020 - 10:12 AM – A Glen Rock resident reported discovering fraudulent activity on his E-Bay Account. An unknown individual had made a purchase of over $500. The transaction was reversed, and E-Bay is conducting an investigation.

10-19-2020 - 10:37 AM – A Radburn Road resident reported that their unlocked vehicle was entered at an unknown
time over the last two days while parked in their driveway. The only item reported as missing was an I-Phone charger.

10-19-2020 - 11:05 AM – Patrols were dispatched to a 9-1-1 report of a road rage incident along Lincoln Avenue in the area of Princeton Place. Upon arrival they located a 41-year-old Fair Lawn man who alleged that he had been assaulted by another motorist, who followed him off of Route 208 North after cutting him off. The other motorist fled the scene prior to police arrival and no independent witnesses could be located. The man refused medical aid and was unable to identify the alleged assailant.

10-19-2020 - 1:54 PM – A resident on the 500 block of Ackerman Avenue reported that their unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Items inside the vehicle were disturbed but nothing was reported to be missing.

10-19-2020 - 1:58 PM – A Glen Rock man reported that a fraudulent unemployment claim had been filed in his name.
The matter was referred to the detective bureau which is currently working in cooperation with state and federal authorities who are investigating fraudulent claims being filed nationwide.

10-21-2020 - 4:01 AM – A Plymouth Road resident observed an unknown male enter an unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway after his doorbell camera system picked up motion in the area. The resident observed two male subjects dressed in dark clothing. Glen Rock and Ridgewood patrols responded to the area; however, the subjects had fled prior to their arrival. Nothing was reported missing from the resident’s vehicle.

10-21-2020 - 8:42 AM – The Director of Security for the Glen Rock Public Schools reported finding racist graffiti on the wall of a bathroom at the Glen Rock High School. School officials were alerted to the graffiti after receiving an e-mail from a parent. The Security Director was immediately notified, searched for and located the graffiti in question. The bathroom is for male students and is located on the first-floor science wing, which is used by both middle and high school students. It is unknown when this occurred, and no evidence was recovered. Maintenance personnel were assigned to remove the graffiti.

10-21-2020 - 11:40 AM – A Glen Rock man reported that a fraudulent unemployment claim had been filed in his name in New York State. The matter was referred to the detective bureau which is currently working in cooperation with state and federal authorities who are investigating fraudulent claims being filed nationwide.

10-22-2020 - 5:23 PM – An officer on patrol was flagged down by an official at the Sikh Temple who reported to her that an unknown male had entered the temple, refused to remove his shoes (which is their custom) and began taking pictures inside the building. The man was then asked to leave and fled the area. Approximately two hours later the subject returned with a second male. They were skateboarding in the parking lot and taking photos. The complainant was able to provide cellphone photos of both subjects. Sgt. Mike Trover was able to identify one of the individuals as a 17-year-old Ridgewood male who was interviewed in the presence of his parent. He admitted to being at the Temple and being disrespectful to the members present. He was given formal notice against trespassing and directed not to return. Temple officials were satisfied and did not wish to further pursue the matter.

10-23-2020 - 10:48 AM – A DPW worker requested police assistance at the rear of Wilde Memorial Park after finding an unconscious male laying face down. Responding officers determined that the subject, a 22-year-old Ridgewood man, had overdosed on Heroin. The officers administered Narcan and assisted with rescue breathing. A second dose of Narcan was administered prior to the arrival of Paramedics and EMT’s from Valley Hospital. The man did not regain consciousness and was transported to the Valley Hospital ER in Ridgewood.

10-23-2020 - 1:56 PM – A Glen Rock man reported that his grey 2013 Mercedes Benz was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked on Hamilton Avenue near Harding Road. Anyone who witnessed the collision and can identify the hit-and-run vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.

10-24-2020 - 9:04 PM – A Glen Rock couple reported that they attempted to purchase a puppy through a breeder advertising online through familybichonfirse.com, which appeared to be a legitimate company. They provided a $300 deposit through cashapp and drove to the breeders purported place of business in Williamson, NY. When they arrived, they found that the address was a private residence, where no puppies were being offered for sale. The resident informed them that they were not the first people who showed up at their home looking to pick up a puppy. According to the NY State Police, who provide law enforcement services to Williamson NY, there have been multiple reports made to them. The matter has been referred to the detective bureau which is following up with the NY State Police concerning any ongoing investigation.
