FAIR LAWN, NJ - Policeman's Benevolent Association (PBA) Local #67, along with the Fair Lawn Police Department, have joined forces with other PBAs throughout Bergen County to facilitate a massive holiday toy drive to benefit kids in need. This year, local toy collection sites are set-up at the Fair Lawn Police HQ and the Radburn Exxon on Fair Lawn Avenue in Fair Lawn.
"Each year, we partner up with Dan Sewall, the owner of Radburn Exxon, and he sets up a toy drop, provides a storage facility, truck and trailer for all of the toys collected," said Fair Lawn Police Officer Michael O'Brien, Toy Drive Committee Chair. "Danny donated his own time and funds to purchase items needed to bring attention to the drive and has been invaluable."
Through the years, Fair Lawn residents and businesses have generously given thousands of toys and monetary donations. This year's goal is to collect even more toys and gift cards to ensure kids in need receive that much needed light of hope during the holiday season.
"Residents and businesses are very generous in Fair Lawn," added O'Brien. "By working together, I know that we can exceed last year's amount of toys and bring even more smiles to kids in need.” Our last date of collection will be on December 18, 2019.
Checks can also be written to Fair Lawn PBA Local #67, and mailed to: P.O. Box 276, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Kindly reference the 2019 Toy Drive in the memo section. For more information, please contact Police Officer Michael O'Brien at (201) 796-1400 (Fair Lawn Police Department).
