Alina Sawhney Wins Byrd School Motto Contest

GLEN ROCK, NJ - Third-grader Alina Sawhney won the school-wide Byrd motto contest. The new Byrd School motto is "Be Brave, Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be BYRD!!!"

Byrd School conducted the school-wide motto contest for students in grades K-5 in what was characterized as "a very close race" by the school administration.

Memorial School Students Donate 40-Pounds Tomato Harvest, Donate to Food Pantry

FAIR LAWN, NJ - Memorial School students harvested 40 pounds of cherry and beefsteak tomatoes last month as part of their farm to table project, according to school officials.

Paterson Police Announce 3rd Shooting In Same Day

PATERSON, NJ - A male 26-year-old Paterson resident sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound on Oct. 7 at approximately 11 p.m. in a hallway of a residence on North Main Street, according to police. It was the third shooting that day.
