GLEN ROCK, NJ – The Glen Rock Guild and The Curious Reader bookstore announce the first annual Glen Rock Book Festival, which will feature 40 acclaimed authors and illustrators, and, "celebrate literacy and the love of books with local families and children," organizers said.
On Saturday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., local families and children are invited to meet with 40 acclaimed and award-winning authors and illustrators. Festival events will include book signings with authors and illustrators, Story Time readings, book sales and more. As part of the 125th anniversary of the founding of Glen Rock, the Festival is a free event.
The Festival will take place on the Glen Rock Borough Hall Lawn, 1 Harding Plaza. Parking is free.
Some of the notable author and illustrators attending the Festival include: two-time Caldecott Medal winner Sophie Blackall, Caldecott Medal winner Brian Floca, Theodor Seuss Geisel Award winners Anna Kang and Christopher Weyant, middle-grade author Laura Tucker, author-illustrators Sergio Ruzzier, Barbara McClintock, Beth Ferry and many others.
