GLEN ROCK, NJ - The first ever Holiday Hoopla is scheduled for Dec. 7 and in addition to a holiday market featuring mostly Glen Rock crafters, the day will not be without music at 5:30 p.m. thanks to two hometown bands: Rock Road and Winter Wrecking Crew.

After the tree lighting (Exxon Station, Rock Road, next to Kilroy's Wonder Market) at approximately 5 p.m., the Glen Rock Holiday Committee is promoting a community gathering at the heated tent on the lawn of Borough Hall, 1 Harding Plaza, to hear pop and rock music from the '70s through the '90s.

The family-friendly event is free and co-sponsored through various local businesses, including the Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce, which is partially providing the heated tent.

Band organizers Jim Pawlika and Andy Wedeen are helping to coordinate music for the evening, which organizers promise to be "positive and upbeat."
