New Rules Restricting Commercial Garbage Pick-Up Hours: Glen Rock

GLEN ROCK, NJ – The Borough Council introduced an amendment to the solid waste ordinance, disallowing commercial garbage pick-up from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

“This makes it so commercial pick-up hours are restricted,” Mayor Bruce Packer said on Aug. 22. “As it stands right now, the rule is not in place.”

Fair Lawn Planning Board Approves AutoZone for Broadway Location

FAIR LAWN, NJ – The Planning Board approved an application for an AutoZone store on the former Chase Bank site at 28th Street and Broadway.

On Aug. 13, the board approved the auto parts store at 27-02 Broadway by a vote of 6-3 after questioning AutoZone’s lawyer, Frank DeVito and engineer, Thomas Pugsley for more than two hours.

Fair Lawn Columbia Bank Robber Captured

FAIR LAWN, NJ - The "10K or You Die" Columbia Bank robber was captured yesterday in Paterson while walking near his residence, according to police. The robbery occurred on July 13.
