FAIR LAWN, NJ - Fair Lawn’s annual farmer’s market is back! The market is located in the New Song Church parking lot at Fair Lawn Avenue and Craig Road. It opened July 8 and will run through mid-October. The market is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., rain or shine.

The market produce is grown and transported by Silver Lake Farm & Greenhouses in Blairstown, NJ. They offer a small, colorful selection of produce including corn, fresh garlic, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, eggs, blueberries, and peaches, among other fruits and veggies.

The Farmers Market is enforcing strict Covid-19 guidelines. The flyer explicitly states, “NO FACE COVERINGS, NO SERVICE.  Social Distancing will be observed.” Additionally, they ask that shoppers not arrive early. Produce tables are roped off with two feet of space around them.  To get your produce, a staff member “will walk along with you on the other side of the table. You can tell them what you want, and they will bag the items for you. The farmer wants you to be happy with your choices, and will provide only high quality produce. But you will not be able to handle any produce.” The market will only be accepting cash, or WIC coupons when applicable.

The farmers market is the perfect excuse to get some healthy food and fresh air while supporting the community and the economy.
