GLEN ROCK, NJ - Two Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce members joined together to bring a valuable service to the business community: knowing what your business is worth and proper planning to make it grow and prosper.
Financial Planner Dmitriy Yankelevich partnered with Creative Den owner Tara McKee, hosting a discussion about the importance of knowing what your business is worth, in addition to balancing retirement planning and the running of a business, while considering estate planning and tax planning.
"My family and I have been embraced by the Glen Rock community since we moved here in 2015. I'm honored to be able to offer my space for community organizations such as the Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the future," McKee said. She has rental opportunities for the space, as well.
The seminar also featured discussion on how to better retain and reward employees, as well as using buy-sell agreements to further strengthen the business.
Attorney Kate Cassidy, vice president of Advanced Markets, led the discussion with a session at 9 a.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. on July 30.
"Kate was great, very knowledgeable and was able to cover a lot of topics," Yankelevich said. "At the end, and throughout the seminar, we answered lots of questions. It was an overall very engaging conversation."
Yankelevich, who met McKee at a chamber meeting, said she offered her shop for the meeting.
"The location was perfect, Tara was so accommodating," he said. "The place is so clean and smelled so good."
Yankelevich said he is considering doing more such events in the future.
