I am writing in support of Eric Schlett, running for Glen Rock Council. I met Eric a little under a year ago, and took to him immediately.
We moved our family to Glen Rock about seven years ago, without knowing a soul. As most from town would agree, it didn’t take us long to meet amazing neighbors and make this ‘our hometown.’ It is a place the residents want to preserve and protect. Glen Rock is easy to love.
Eric is what’s good about Glen Rock, personified. He’s kind, warm, neighborly, and always willing to listen. Eric is also willing to extend himself if it means he can help you in any way. And he’s passionate about Glen Rock.
When you speak with Eric about why he’s chosen to run, you can see how moved he is when he speaks about his ‘hometown.’ Not only will he bring his personal experience from living in town for over two decades, Eric has been successful in his own career and wants to utilize his skills for the betterment of our town. He has the financial acumen to successfully work through our budget, highlighting any potential issues. In addition, much of his professional tenure has been spent in the first responder industry. At a time when our town is low on first responder volunteers, and working with other towns to create area of shared services, he would bring a seasoned and professional perspective on how to manage these VERY important issues.
Eric has made this town his home and continually uses his time to leave it a little better, each day. I am confident if Eric were to be elected, he would approach each situation fairly and without bias. I hope you will join me in November by checking ‘yes,’ for Eric Schlett, for Glen Rock Council.
