It’s with pleasure that I enthusiastically support Kristine Morieko for Mayor and Teresa Gilbreath and Rob Dill for Glen Rock Council. Their commitment to improving town services and overall quality of life for all Glen Rockers, while keeping a sharp eye on containing taxes, checks all the boxes for what I look for in candidates to move Glen Rock forward.
Current Council president, Kristine Morieko is the embodiment of what it means to be a Glen Rocker. A fourth-generation resident with roots in town that extend more than 100 years, she is totally invested in the well-being of our town. I never cease to be amazed at her deep understanding of every issue and how it impacts the residents and the town she loves. She brings a decade of valuable municipal law experience to the Council, along with phenomenal organizational skills that lead to positive outcomes for all Glen Rock citizens. Whether as chairman of the Public Safety Committee, liaison to the Planning and Library Boards or Fire Department, she always looks to do what’s best for Glen Rock. Without a doubt, Kristine is the best Council member this town has had in my 37 years as a Glen Rock resident. She will be a terrific Mayor for all.
I am also impressed with the energy, dedication and community spirit of Teresa Gilbreath and Rob Dill. Both of them have established reputations of neighborhood and civic engagement. In Rob’s case, he served for many years on the Shade Tree Advisory Committee and Environmental Commission, in addition to years as Boy Scout leader. Yet he is there for his friends and neighbors to tutor their children and plan block parties. Teresa brings a focused and disciplined work ethic honed by years as a Wall Street Compliance Officer. Her civic involvement extends to her work on the Senior Advisory Board, the Green Team and Girl Scouts. She used her leadership and interpersonal skills to forge agreement on the Byrd School traffic plan that resolved a difficult issue. By these and other examples, Teresa and Rob have shown they will work for the benefit of all in Glen Rock in a non-partisan way.
Glen Rock deserves this type of non-partisan, intelligent and experienced leadership. To me the choice is clear. I highly recommend Kristine Morieko for Mayor and Teresa Gilbreath and Rob Dill for Council, and urge all Glen Rockers to vote for them on November 5th.
