This November 5th, I'm voting for Kristine Morieko for Mayor. I hope my Glen Rock neighbors will do the same.
Kristine's experience as a council member makes her the candidate best qualified to navigate our town through the budgetary and other municipal challenges we face. I also value Kristine's commitment to the institutions that bring Glen Rockers together no matter what neighborhood we live in or how long we've called the borough home.
For example, Kristine played a pivotal role in improving our library over the last few years. This cultural gem isn't just a building to pick up a book – it is where our babies listen to their first story time, our children explore coding and crafts, adults create community through clubs and historical presentations, and seniors get assistance on research and social services.
Most importantly, the library is free to enter, open to all, and represents Glen Rock at its best. Over the last four years, Kristine committed herself to helping improve the operations and safety of the building, expanding the museum pass program, securing state funding from the Library Bond Act, and promoting its community programming.
I look forward to how Kristine and the library continue to bring us together as a borough over the next four years.
