FAIR LAWN, NJ - To help you prepare to go to the polls on Tuesday, November 5, the League of Women Voters of Fair Lawn would like to remind citizens to check out their non-partisan election resource www.Vote411.org.
This “one-stop-shop” for election information provides simple, helpful tools to help NJ voters navigate the voting process. The site includes candidate information for all the races, voter registration tools, polling place information and other helpful Election Day information including the explanation of Public Question No. 1: CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO GIVE CERTAIN VETERANS’ BENEFITS TO RESIDENTS OF CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES
As a service to the voting public, the LWV of New Jersey Education Fund has prepared an analysis of this public question on www.Vote411.org with reasons to vote either pro or con.
Printed versions of www.Vote411.org for the Board of Education and Council candidates responses to questions posed by the League are also available at the Municipal Building, the Library, the Community Center and the Senior Center.
When you go into the voting booth, remember to look all the way to the bottom of the ballot. In the past, the candidates for the BOE have appeared at the very end of the ballot and have been missed by many voters.
Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Remember, don't let someone else make the decision for you...VOTE.
