FAIR LAWN, NJ - The Borough Council has eased restrictions on outdoor dining via a permit process. All eateries and bar/restaurants wishing to have outdoor seating may do so between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
On June 9, the council approved the resolution to assist businesses in recuperating lost revenue from the three-month mandated state closure due to COVID-19.
The resolution takes effect on June 15, the day the state begins its phase 2 opening, and will sunset on November 30, 2020.
While a permit is necessary, the council has waived the permit fee, as proposed by Councilwoman Cristina Cutrone.
"Every little bit helps," Mayor Kurt Peluso said.
