FAIR LAWN, NJ - It's Relay for Life Wrap-Up time when John Cosgrove is your bartender at JJ's on Broadway.

Deputy Mayor of Community Affairs, John Cosgrove, will be guest bartending from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. (cash bar only) at JJ's on Thursday, Aug. 22, 7-9 p.m. to raise funds for Relay 2019. It's the final event for the overnight fundraiser that was held in Glen Rock on June 1-2 at the high school football field.

The event will include a buffet dinner provided by JJ’s and door prize drawings at 8:45 p.m.; the cost is $20, payable at the door in cash or check payable to ACS, with proceeds benefiting the Relay for Life. This is the final fundraiser and wrap party for this year’s Relay sponsored by the Glen Rock and Fair Lawn chapter.

The evening will include a look at highlights from this year’s Relay for Life and information on volunteering opportunities for next year’s event. 

The chapter’s Relay was held this spring on June 1 – 2 at Glen Rock High School, with moving ceremonies, participants walking around the track, themed campsites and entertainment, games and activities throughout the 12-hour event. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers from the community and fundraising takes place by individuals, teams and local businesses for months leading up to and after the Relay date.

Next year’s Relay is scheduled for May 30-31, 2020 at Dobrow Sports Complex in Fair Lawn.
