The past few years have been tough for Julie Allen. But her love of Glen Rock, community pride have helped her overcome the bad with good acts towards the town of Glen Rock and its residents.

Not only has she continued to volunteer and put the community first, she has shown that it's how we come back from negative situations is what is important.

Julie has continued to volunteer for the Glen Rock Library Book Sale, Glen Rocks 125th sesquicentennial celebration, helped create and manage the Volunteer day for the Glen Rock Japanese Exchange program and is reorganizing the Candy drive to send candy to troops across the sea through Operation Gratitude.

I just want to thank her for keeping her community spirit alive, as well as her head up and not giving up her local news site.
