RIDGEWOOD, NJ - There are five confirmed cases of coronavirus at Valley Hospital, according to Ridgewood Mayor Ramon Hache.

Hache announced Saturday night that two of those cases at the hospital on North Van Dien Avenue are Ridgewood residents.

"While the confirmation of these cases is of great concern, this is not the time to panic," Hache said in a statement on the town's website. "This is the time to work together to contain and prevent the spread of the virus. I urge you to please exercise appropriate social distancing measures. It is the most effective thing you can do to avoid being infected or infecting others."

"Please continue to adhere to the recommendations of the CDC with regard to washing hands, disinfecting surfaces, and avoiding large gatherings. Common sense is still the best defense," Hache said.
