GLEN ROCK, NJ - Progress on Glen Rock's Dog Park continues to move forward with a fundraiser this evening at Iachetti's Kitchen, 918 Prospect Street where they're hosting a dinner special for $35.
Meanwhile, in spite of the untimely death of its pro-bono contracter, the project is still planned for a late spring groundbreaking.
Located behind the Glen Rock Recycling Center, 390 Doremus Avenue, and leased from the Borough, the privately funded group heard directly from its founder, Michelle Hillock who was 15 years old when she initiated the project and is now in college. Eileen Hillock, her mother, called her in between classes and let her thank the Council through a cell phone.
"This is a first," Mayor Bruce Packer said.
"It's pretty cool that she called in," Councilman Mike O'Hagan said.
