12/13/2019 12:34pm Wanted Person: P.O. Brian Goodson initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 26th Street and arrested the passenger, Yasmine Wilson, age 30 of Paterson, after an arrest warrant was located out of Paterson for $1000. She was handed over to Paterson Police.
12/13/2019 9:06 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Juan Rodriguez, P.O. John Rovetto & P.O. Javier Gutierrez responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested Jamera Mickens, age 18 of Paterson & Lawkwa McQueen, age 19 of Paterson, after they were stopped by store loss prevention with $98.82 in unpaid items in a shopping cart as they attempted to exit the store. They were both released after being charged with shoplifting.
12/15/2019 8:29 pm Narcotics: Det. Paul Donohue initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 28th Street and arrested the operator, Sabrina Zegarra, age 21 of Paterson, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle and an arrest warrant was located out of Fair Lawn for $451. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating with a suspended license, CDS in a motor vehicle & operating while using a handheld device. She was then released after bail was posted.
12/20/2019 5:05 pm Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Michael O׳Brien, P.O. Brad Pindyck, P.O. Brian Goodson & Sgt. Peter Yuskaitis responded to Greenwood Drive at Garrison Place on a report of a hit- and-run motor vehicle crash involving a white van striking a fire hydrant. P.O. O׳Brien located the vehicle parked in the middle of Grunstra Place and arrested the operator, Nicole Chung, age 40 of Fort Lee, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. Two female children, ages 4 & 8, were in the vehicle and were also transported to police headquarters.
Chung and the juveniles were released to a responsible adult after she was charged with the following: 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, reckless driving, improper driving on a sidewalk, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, failure to report a crash, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to produce a vehicle registration, no evidence of motor vehicle insurance, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with minors in the motor vehicle.
Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
