01/26/2020 1:34 am Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Brad Pindyck initiated a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue at Harristown Road and arrested the operator, Nicole Sitko, age 22 of Hawthorne, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a single lane, failure to exhibit an insurance card, driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to breath tests, then was transported to New Bridge Medical Center by Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance for treatment.

01/26/2020 4:22 pm Narcotics: P.O. Tiller Uriarte initiated a motor vehicle stop on Fair Lawn Avenue at Edward Street and arrested the operator, Randolph Denker, age 19 of Fair Lawn, and the passenger, Aaron Bonjour, age 21 of Fair Lawn, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. Both were released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

01/26/2020 7:28 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Robert Iozzia, P.O. Brad Pindyck & P.O. Geovanny Buitron responded to CVS Pharmacy, 18-35 River Road, on a report of a shoplifting in progress and arrested the operator, Shaquille McGaw, age 22 of Brooklyn, NY, and 2 passengers: Ty-Shay Madden, age 22 of St. Albans, NY and Shivon Parson, age 30 of Brooklyn, NY, after the vehicle they left in was stopped on 11th Street at Long Road with unpaid items totaling $836.19 and marijuana. 

All were charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. McGaw & Parson were released, while Madden was sent to Bergen County Jail.

01/27/2020 9:42 am Narcotics: P.O. Tiller Uriarte initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 at Paramus Road and arrested the operator, Azaget Johnson, age 20 of Paterson, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. She was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unsafe/fractured windshield.

01/28/2020 6:16 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Juan Rodriguez & P.O. Miquel Cruz responded to ShopRite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested Jose Reyes Jr, age 36 of Hawthorne, after he was found with $31.97 in unpaid items hidden in his jacket, along with heroin. He was charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, then handed over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department for an arrest warrant out of their jurisdiction.

01/31/2020 8:03 pm Wanted Person: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Banta Place and arrested the operator, Henry Paulino, age 23 of Paterson, after an arrest warrant was located out of Paterson for $750. He was released after bail was posted.

01/31/2020 11:26 pm Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Hartley Place and arrested the operator, Mac Lee Jr, age 54 of Hackensack, after he failed a roadside sobriety test and heroin and Baclofen pills were discovered inside the vehicle. He was released to a responsible adult after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), under the influence of CDS, possession of prescription legend drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, wrong way on a one way street, improper backing on a street, failure to exhibit a motor vehicle document, improper display of license plates, headlights required at night, CDS in a motor vehicle & driving while intoxicated.

02/01/2020 4:02 am Narcotics: P.O. Juan Rodriguez approached an occupied parked vehicle on 1st Street at Lambert Road and arrested the occupant, Daniel Tkacz, age 42 of Maspeth, NY, after a crack pipe was discovered inside the vehicle and a switchblade knife was found in his possession. He was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited weapon.

02/02/2020 1:57 am Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue at River Road and arrested the operator, Jeanette Burlazzi, age 59 of Nutley, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was released to a responsible adult after being charged with failure to maintain a single lane, careless driving, failure to exhibit a registration card, driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath sample.

02/02/2020 10:30 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Brad Pindyck, P.O. Robert Iozzia & P.O. Geovanny Buitron responded to ShopRite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested a 17-year-old female and a 15-year-old female, both from Hawthorne, after they were detained by a store employee after concealing $165.38 in unpaid items. The juveniles were handed over to parents and will be charged on a juvenile petition in family court with shoplifting.

02/03/2020 11:38 pm Narcotics: P.O. Brad Pindyck initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 17th Street and arrested the operator, Dennis Barnett, age 48 of Englewood, after marijuana was discovered in his pocket and in his vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
