06/26/2019 - 9:00 pm Narcotics: Det. Brian Rypkema, Det. Anthony Lugo & P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo approached a suspicious parked vehicle in Memorial Park and arrested the occupant, Corey Work, age 29 of Toms River, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

06/27/2019 - 8:41 pm Narcotics: Det. Anthony Lugo, Det. Brian Rypkema & P.O. Juan Rodriguez initiated a motor vehicle stop on Paramus Road and arrested the passenger, Steven Allegretta, age 29 of Middletown, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia.

07/03/2019 Theft: Fair Lawn Police responded to Juicy Platters, 23-16 Broadway, and took a report of an employee that was stealing money from the register during his shifts. Det. Anthony Lugo took over the investigation and arrested Lanceford Henry, age 27 of Paterson, on 7/3/19 without incident at the business. The amount taken was totaled at $3,628.56. He was released after being charged with theft of movable property.

07/04/2019 11:57 pm Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 South at Fair Lawn Avenue and arrested the operator, Susan Masotti, age 49 of River Vale, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. She was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal.

07/06/2019 - 12:48 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Chris Sullivan & P.O. Luke Hintzen responded to CVS, 18-35 River Road, on a report of a shoplifting in progress and arrested Erica Blasco, age 34 of Lincoln Park, after she was located sitting in a parked vehicle with $54.50 in unpaid items in a backpack. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

07/06/2019 - 8:12 pm Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo & P.O. Juan Rodriguez approached a male who was asking motorists for money on Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge and arrested Israel Rodriguez- Cevallos, age 34 of Hackensack, after heroin was found in his pocket. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and begging.

07/07/2019 - 2:31 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Stephen Buskiewicz & P.O. Brad Pindyck responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested Catherine Munoz, age 29 of Paterson, after she was detained by store loss prevention leaving the store with an unpaid item costing $83.16. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

07/07/2019 9:49 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Juan Rodriguez & P.O. Geovanny Buitron approached a suspicious male walking over the Maple Avenue Bridge and arrested Issac Wilson, age 58 of Paterson, after unpaid items were found hidden in his pants, totaling $161.44, that had been taken from Walgreens, 17-77 River Road. Wilson, who had arrest warrants out of Clifton ($2,000) and Paramus ($500), was charged with shoplifting, then handed over to Clifton Police.

07/13/2019 - 2:25 am Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue at Harristown Road and arrested the operator, Ana Jacobson, age 27 of Shokan, NY, and the passenger, Ryan McCloskey, age 27 of Kingston, NY, after heroin was found inside the vehicle and in their possessions. Both were released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles.

07/14/2019 - 3:42 am Narcotics: P.O. Tiller Uriarte & P.O. Geovanny Buitron approached suspicious parties walking on Broadway at Lyncrest Avenue and arrested Jennifer Concepcion, age 37 of Winter Springs, FL, after marijuana was discovered inside her bag. She was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

07/16/2019 - 2:17 pm Shoplifting: Det. Anthony Lugo & Det. Brian Rypkema approached a suspicious male running on River Road at Maple Avenue and arrested Michael Garcia, age 40 of Paterson, after unpaid items, totaling $89.51, from Walgreens, 17-77 River Road, were found in a bag he was carrying, along with hypodermic needles. He was released after being charged with shoplifting and possession of hypodermic needles.

07/15/2019 - 9:14 pm Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North at Harristown Road and arrested the operator, John O׳Grady, age 52 of Mahwah, after he failed a roadside sobriety test. He was released to a family member after being charged with view obstruction, careless driving, failure to signal, failure to possess an insurance card and driving while intoxicated.

07/18/2019 - 3:43 pm Narcotics: P.O. Timothy Ammann responded to Broadway at Midland Avenue on a report of a male having difficulty walking and arrested Michael Laski, age 34 of Hewitt, after heroin was found in his pocket. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of drug paraphernalia & being under the influence of CDS.

07/19/2019 - 9:27 am Obstruction: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Harristown Road at Maple Avenue and arrested the passenger, Wade Salmon, age 28 of Bloomfield, after he gave a false name to the officer. He was released after being charged with obstruction and throwing debris from a motor vehicle.

07/22/2019 - 12:09 am Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue at Loretto Avenue and arrested the operator, Marianne Murphy, age 55 of West Milford, and the passenger, Deanna Richards, age 38 of Little Ferry, after crack cocaine was discovered on their person and in the vehicle. Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. While Murphy was released, Richards had arrest warrants out of Dumont ($500) and Carlstadt ($500). She was turned over to Dumont Police. 

Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
