07/23/2019 -- 8:14 pm Wanted Person: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North at Harristown Road and arrested the operator,a 32-year-old from Hewitt, after an arrest warrant was located out of Totowa for $2,500. He was charged with operating with a suspended license, then handed over to Totowa Police.

07/26/2019 4:21 am Narcotics: P.O. Anthony Ferreira approached an occupied parked vehicle on High Street at Addison Place and arrested the occupant, a 26-year-old from Fair Lawn, after heroin and Xanax pills were discovered inside the vehicle. She was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription legend drugs.

07/26/201 -- 1:18 pm Wanted Person: P.O. Timothy Ammann initiated a motor vehicle stop on Plaza Road at Carol Place and arrested the operator, a 30-year-old from Paterson, after a no-bail warrant was located out of Paterson. She was charged with maintenance of vehicle lamps, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating with a suspended license, then handed over to Paterson Police.

07/26/2019 -- 10:17 pm Wanted Person: P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at  Tunbridge Road and arrested the operator, a 36-year-old from Englewood, after arrest warrants were located out of Englewood ($1500), Ridgefield ($750) and Hackensack ($500). She was charged with failure to maintain a single lane & operating with a suspended license, then was handed over to Englewood Police.

07/29/2019 -- 12:33 pm Narcotics: Det. Brian Rypkema initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 17th Street and arrested the passenger, a 21-year-old from Bergenfield, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

07/29/2019 -- 6:33 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Juan Rodriguez responded to CVS, 29-00 Broadway, on a report of a  shoplifter who had left the business and arrested a 26-year-old from Clinton, ME, after he was located on Broadway at 28th Street with unpaid items totaling $306.63 and hypodermic needles in a backpack. He was released after being charged with shoplifting & possession of hypodermic needles.

07/29/2019 -- 9:33 pm Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 South at  Plaza Road and arrested the operator, a 29-year-old from Paramus, after heroin and suboxone were discovered inside the vehicle. The individual, who had a $250 arrest warrant out of Paramus, was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic needles, speeding and following too closely, then was released after bail was posted. 

Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
