During the period between July 8 and July 14, 2019 members of the GRPD handled 270 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
07-09-2019 - 6:55 AM – A 68-year-old North Haledon man reported being assaulted on Glen Avenue in the parking lot of an office building following a road rage incident which began in the area of Starbucks at 224 Rock Road. During the course of the alleged confrontation, damage was also done to his vehicle. The alleged actor fled the area before the victim called for police assistance. The man requested medical aid and was subsequently transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood by ambulance.
Through investigation Det. Lucas Doney was able to identify the other individual, a 60-year-old Ridgewood man. Both subjects provided conflicting accounts of what had occurred, and no independent witnesses or conclusive video footage could be located. Both individuals were advised of their right to make a complaint before the Glen Rock Municipal Court and seek a probable cause hearing. If the Judge finds probable cause, complaints may subsequently be issued.

07-10-2019 - 10:45 AM – A woman who resides on the 300 block of Dunham reported hearing her dog barking around 1AM but did not think anything of it. In morning she found lawn chairs and pool toys thrown around her yard.There was no apparent damage, nor was anything reported missing. There are no known witness or similar reports in the area.
07-13-2019 - 12:16 AM – While investigating a report of suspicious activity at the Glen Rock Municipal Pool, P.O. John Tarantino and P.O. Nick Onove arrested an 18-year-old West Milford man and a 16-year-old female juvenile from Glen Rock for trespassing. The adult was processed at Glen Rock Police HQ and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in Glen Rock Municipal Court. The juvenile was turned over to the custody of her mother pending an appearance in juvenile court.
