FAIR LAWN, NJ - An 86-year-old Midland Park man was injured in his vintage car when he failed to yield to another driver on Warren Road last Friday, police said.
According to police, "The driver of the ['57] Chevy suffered from a medical episode prior to the crash."
On Sept. 20, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 1957 Chevy, operated by a Midland Park man, was traveling south on Abbott Road when "he failed to stop for a 2017 Ford," operated by a 22-year-old Fair Lawn female, who was traveling west on Warren Road.
The vehicles crashed, police said, and the force of the crash pushed the Chevy off the roadway and into a tree.
Police said the man was assisted out of the vehicle and transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson by Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance.
No charges were filed.
Fair Lawn Fire Department and Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue assisted on the scene.
